Governor Crist Appoints Interim Director of Agency for Persons with Disabilities
TALLAHASSEE – Governor Charlie Crist today announced the appointment of James DeBeaugrine of Tallahassee to serve as the interim executive director of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, succeeding Jane Johnson. He currently serves as the agency’s deputy director since August 2007.
"I am confident that Jim will continue to do an excellent job serving Florida’s persons with disabilities and their families as we transition to a new executive director at the agency in the very near future," Governor Crist said.
DeBeaugrine, 49, previously served as a staff director for the Florida House of Representatives from 1997 to 2007 and analyst for the House Health and Human Services Appropriations Committee from 1989 to 1997. He earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in public administration from Florida State University.
